Walters Farms
Hebron, IL | Established 1942
About Us
Erv and Lucille Walters started Walters Farms in Hebron, Illinois, in 1942. They grew corn and soybeans, milked cows, and fed pigs. Today, the farm is still located in Hebron where it all began, now run by the three generations that followed Erv and Lucille. Corn and soybeans are still a primary focus, but livestock is no longer part of the operation. Instead, we've expanded acreage, and do custom applications and harvesting for other farms. Management practices and technology have evolved along the way, but a strong work ethic, dependability, land stewardship, and a desire to conduct business as fairly as possible are values that still guide our day-to-day.

Today, we pride ourselves on always putting in the time and resources required to ensure that all the ground we run is taken care of as if it were our own. We make sure the crops we plant have the nutrients and protection they need while not over-applying, and we base our management decisions on historical data, experience, and outcomes from our own test plots. We are constantly updating farm records, evaluating new technology, and maintaining or upgrading machinery and grain handling facilities. We love what we do and we work with a number of trusted partners and team members to make it all happen.
